Elvis night at Wendy's

WHAT A GREAT EVENING IT WASK! Saturday, September 14, at our usual Wendy's cruise-in. the weather looked a little iffy for the day, but turned out to be near perfect. A typical great late summer evening, although a little warm, but climaxing in a beautiful sunset, and highlighted by the appearance of a full moon.

It was a great turn out of cars, and a field full of friendly people. what more could you want.

The entertainment from MX was great, with plenty of Elvis music, and, Doug did his usual fine job of providing a multitude of door prizes and activities for everyone.

Next month, the October cruise-in will climax the year, with the halloween theme, and the drawing for tires and wheels..
you won't want to miss it.
Oh!! Yes, we had 128 cars registered, and several that were just there as spectators.
Great fun was had by all.

more picnic scenes

It would be difficult to find a more picturesque and scenic spot for a picnic, as the views here show.
we were glad to see Dave Smith able to attend again, and also Norm Smith just back from florida, and recuperating from knee surgery.
We were also glad to have Sharon Coleman's father able to attend with us once again.
It was great to see so many of the club cars out, as well as the members.
Don Harper led the invocation, particularly mentioning several of the members who have been ill.
Clem Dowler led the always inspiring pledge to the flag, to kick off the fine dinner.
Later, business was kept to a minimum, with discussions on the recent shows and cruise-ins, along with a remnder of the upcoming Elvis night Cruise-in on Sept. 13, and a call for all hands to turn out.
Ed Cain reported that Joe Hutchinson is doing well, and back at home.
Tom Jackson reported a slate of officers to be elected at the upcoming October meeting. Be sure to turn out at that meeting and elect and support the new officers and board members.

club picnic at lovely Fort Boreman Park

Since Monday was a holiday, the Sept. meeting was on Tuesday, and was held as a picnic at Fort Boreman Park.

The weather was great, the turnout outstanding, and the food was stellar.

But, see for yourself, as you view some of the pictures of the event.
